It's no secret that most, if not all of my clients are word of mouth. At this wedding was a past client (hi Katharine) a future client (hi Clare!) and a few others I'd come to know through Katharine, so it really felt like I was a guest rather than a hired vendor. That makes my job sooooo much easier even if it does add that much more pressure to come away with amazing photos! :)

I think my favorite part of shooting weddings in new locations is trying to work the location into the photos. Not just the venue but the region. I found this cool Banyon tree a few miles down the road from the Four Seasons and just knew I had to work it into some photos! |

It's rare, for me, to break a wedding up into several posts but this wedding deserves it! Talk about awesome!! Over the past 5 or 6 years i've done more and more destination weddings, so traveling has become the norm for me. So much so, that all but three of my weddings for this coming summer are somewhere else.Thankfully I LOVE to shoot weddings in locations i've never been to! This wedding was in Palm Beach Florida at the awesome Four Seasons! Not only was the location amazing but the people there were a true joy to work with! (and i'm not just saying that!)
More gushing about Amy and Peter to follow so i'll just get on with the pix!

| One of the great things about destination weddings is I really get to know the couples I work with, which I think makes the photos better! I get to pick up on and photograph some of the easily missed moments or expressions. To me, this is the perfect photo of Amy & Peter! |

This wedding had all the buzz of a celebrity wedding, short of the helicopters above! This was the rumored weekend that a certain person was to be married here :) but the paparazzi, seen around the island, only caught photos of me in action and not a certain someone... :)
Julie and Michael truly had the prefect day! It all went by so fast and the photos just seemed to be there waiting for me to take them.

What a year 2009 was!!! I had the honor of attending some incredible events, all over the world, for some of the most amazing people! THANK YOU to each and every couple for allowing me to do what I do best!
I gave myself a task this morning of compiling some of my favorite images from 2009. I learned that that's a HUGE task! I had weddings that I could have easily showed you 50!! I also found out that I could have done a collage of details as well as couple photos. I also could have done an all B&W collage as well as an all color!! It was a tough task to say the least!
Looking back through the photos, just for fun, I counted the number of images I took and am embarrassed to say...... it was over 175,000 and that doesn't take into account anything other than weddings! Some people won't do that in a lifetime! |
Thank you to all the wonderful couples who have shared their lives with me!! My hope is that these images allow you to go right back to your wedding day every time you look at them!

If you didn't know, the Vineyard was slammed with over a foot of snow last Saturday. The girls and I spent the better part of the morning outside (photos to come) shoveling and sledding down the ramp along my office. It's customary for us to come inside and warm up with some hot coco, well ... thanks to Liz and Tom, we had THE MOST AMAZING HOT COCO EVER! Liz and Tom sent me the most amazing present and it got here on Friday, just before the storm! I didn't know what it was but had an idea it was something yummy!!
What could possibly be better than yummy hot coco after a long day playing in the snow!!?? How about chocolate marshmallows to go with the hot coco!! I kid you not! The marshmallows were chocolate!! How awesome is that!!

My girls and I had a blast opening and devouring the goodies inside the holiday package I just got from Allison Liset at Elegant Engagements. Allison and I have had the pleasure of working on some awesome weddings over the past few years and I ALWAYS look forward to working with her!! She's truly one of the best out there and if your ever in need of a wedding planner on The Cape, Boston or even here on MV, don't hesitate to give her a call. She's awesome!!

I have been looking forward to this wedding for what feels like forever! As i've said on this blog a million times, I have the best clients and Leah & Brian are no exception. | Have I mentioned how CRAZY the party was! The dance floor was PACKED ALL NIGHT! I think I hit a record for the number of dancing photos i've ever taken! My poor shutter finger was in shock! No groomsmen were harmed in the making of this image although he came close! ha! |

Somewhere over the past 90 days I ran out to Concord MA to meet up with Tobey and Christophe! I am sooooo excited for their wedding this February at Chatham Bars Inn It's gonna be soooo awesome!

Wow! Just where has the time gone?! Things are starting to settle down here so hopefully i'll have time to update the blog. It's not for lack of things to show and tell! In fact there's so much going over here it's mind numbing.
Waaaaay back in Sept I had the pleasure of spending a few days with Kara and Jamie! They were so easy and fun! It really was the perfect wedding. I even ran into guests who are friends of past clients!
